PES2008: The Coventry City Megamix Comments Off

Posted on December 20, 2007 by Greg Downs

To mark my return to PES after more than a week of FIFA08, I’ve put together a full compilation movie about my first Master League career.

It features many replays and assorted other clips that I never got around to using on the blog. The soundtrack is made up of several songs from various Coventry-born artists. (How many of them have you heard of…?)

If YouTube is wonky for you in your browser (as it often is for me), I’ve uploaded the video to another location for viewing or download:

Unlike my last PES2008 movie, this one is as polished as I could make it in the time available. Rather than being just a randomly-thrown-together bunch of replays, it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

There are a few audio glitches – notably in the sound levels between the five different songs on the soundtrack. And thanks to the poor quality of the mobile phone videos, it’s nowhere near as visually attractive as my PES5 compilations. It would be most unkind of me to quip that it’s more or less what PES2008 looks like on the PS3 anyway

THE SUPERLEAGUE IS HERE

I have already set up my new PES2008 ‘Superleague’ composed of all the top club sides in the game. I have already played the first few games of this brand new Master League career.

Later today or first thing tomorrow, I’ll post a list of the clubs that I’ve picked to be in the two leagues, and the House Rules that I’ve decided to play with. I’ll also reveal my surprising choice of name for my new ML team (it’s not Coventry City).

Needless to say, I am playing on Top Player and with the ML difficulty set to Very Hard. Is it very hard? Oh yes. Yes, it is indeed…
