‘Twas The Night Before PES2008… probably 2

Posted on October 23, 2007 by Greg Downs

I’m going to keep this one short. I will probably be getting the game tomorrow morning. I have today received a confirmatory email from GAME saying that it has been dispatched. Seeing as I coughed up the extra fiver for guaranteed next-day delivery by courier, I should get it tomorrow.

While I have become increasingly concerned to read about the negative aspects of PES2008 – the slowdown, the lack of certain features (no camera panning this year is a particular sore point with me), and the alleged ease of the gameplay, among many other things – it’ s still a new PES, and there’s nothing else on the gaming calendar that can make me feel the same way.

Not long to go now. Although I have ‘guaranteed’ next-day delivery of the game, I’m not expecting it to arrive – I’m just very hopeful. There are a humdred things that could happen to stop me getting it tomorrow.

But, all being well, tomorrow’s entry should be about my first hours on the game.
